    Umbraco Forms

    Hi all

I am trying to download and install Umbraco Forms 4.0.3 or higher. We have used it on one project and are trying to use it on another.

If I go to the repository it installs Countour 3.0.x rather than the new forms version.

We can I download this from?

    Cheers

    Eric

    Hi Eric,

If you have using Umbraco 7.2.x you should see a section called Forms, if you click this the first time, then you get the options to install the Umbraco Forms module, if you alreday have installed it, and there are updates, then you should see a blue button with the text update now. Try to see this documentation https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Products/UmbracoForms/Installation/Upgrade

If you want to install the Umbraco Forms as a local package you can also do this you can download the package here https://our.umbraco.org/projects/developer-tools/umbraco-forms Just click the green download button. Here is the documentation about how to install a local package. https://our.umbraco.org/wiki/how-tos/packages-and-projects/how-to-install-a-package

    Hope this helps,

    /Dennis

    Thanks for this Dennis

Unfortunately when I upgraded to 7.2.4 it didn't appear as a menu item so thanks for the manu al download for it.

I have installed it and created a form ok but when I insert it into a page and look at the page I get this error message:
Error loading Partial View script (file: ~/Views/MacroPartials/InsertUmbracoForm.cshtml)

If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreicated

    Thanks

    Eric

The last time I saw that error message I had an out-of-date/corrupted dll, this was resolved by manually cleaning the project and reinstalling the package.

Have you stepped through to see what the error is precisely?

I have done a fresh install of Umbraco 7.4.2 and it is working fine. Must have been something to do with the upgrade that was done from 6.1.6

    Thanks

    Eric
