Are there any way to associcate anything to the options ?
Like if i have a product with options "red", "blue" and "green" to have a color code attached so i could show the color instead only writing it ?
Or have a product image of the product in that specefic color when the user changed from variant to variant in the picker ?
Yes, that is correct, also just the way i choosed to go for.
Though, i if it was possible to put more information on each option then it could be placed there, but dosn't seem to be the case.
bottomline is, i wanted to not add the same on different variants :) - just me being lazy.

One way of doing this is to create a document type that has a media picker and then extending each product variant to include that document type.

I considered adding the ability to add move information to options, but it's a pretty deep rabbit hole to go down.
So you don't have to add duplicate information, you could consider using the product itself for the common information ...
