I'm using the product service API to create products in Merchello from my product content type. Fixing my "product update" function I found out a serious error. If I have 2 product options and I add a choice to the 2nd option, the choice is added to the 1st option instead.
After scratching my head for a while, I just tried it in Merchello backend. Create a product, save, add 2 options (e.g. "Size" and "Color"), add 2 choices in each option (e.g. "Size-1", "Size-2", "Color-1", "Color-2"), save, add a 3rd choice to "Color" (e.g. "Color-3") and save!
In Merchello "Color-3" choice appears under "Size" option, while SKU seems correct!
Using the API the SKU generated is also wrong (it inverts the order of choices) and I currently rely heavily on variant SKU's for product selection!
I'm currently in 1.8.3 I didn't have time to upgrade but it doesn't look like this was reported so far!

I'll hit it first thing next week and post a hot fix. Something must be different between the add and the update product. Should not take very long to get a fix put together.
