    Problems with Umbraco v6.1.6?

    Merchello

    Hi all,

    I've just attempted to install Merchello on my localsite which runs Umbraco v6.1.6. Once I accepted the license etc. and clicked install package I was shown this error message:

    Could not load type 'Umbraco.Web.Editors.UmbracoAuthorizedJsonController' from assembly 'umbraco, Version=1.0.5021.24870, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.

     

    However even with this error message it still says the package was installed. I don't think this worked properly as there is no 'Merchello' section in my umbraco. 

    I should add that I've tried installing Merchello locally and from the repository, both provided the same result.

    Does anyone know the fix for this or know why this is happening? Any help would be much appreciated.

    I don't think Merchello works on that version of Umbraco. I used the product matrix found in the docs: http://merchello.com/documentation/getting-started/product-matrix.

     

    Merchello works with 7.1.x at the earliest.

    Hello,

    Merchello does not support Umbraco 6. It's only for v7 like DFBerry says.

    If you want an open source eCommerce package for Umbraco 6 have a look at uWebshop. It's free and open source since the last release. Source code: https://github.com/uWebshop/uWebshop-Releases
