This is very much possible with Umbraco, as we've used it at our digital agency for multiple clients! The lack of documentation is because there is no out-of-the-box implementation or workflow for this to my knowledge, and I couldn't find anything related to Dyanmics with the Formulate package specifically either. However, Dynamics 365 offers REST api's which allow you to perform all sort's of data manipulation requests!
