Are there any plans for the doc type grid editor for V8?
I have the feeling I'm missing something, but I'm not finding any information regarding custom grid editors in Umbraco V8. It would be lovely to have this nice package (or its functionality) in V8.
My personal reluctance to get involved in the development of DTGE for v8 is that I'm not actively using DTGE on client projects (last time I used it was over 2 years ago), and for v8 I'd really like to see Grid v2 take shape.
I'm currently looking at setting up an U8 site and as someone who's used DTGE extensively for a ton of U7 sites, I'm not sure what my best approach is while waiting for Grid v2.

I'd been using Stacked Content. But I'd mostly been building marketing/brand sites, which pretty much we're all designed in a single column block-style layout. (Sign of the times, I guess.)
In terms of v8, I've not built (or started) any client sites on it yet. Let's just say, commercially I'm currently stuck in brownfield than greenfield.

Short answer is no, not yet.
Longer answer is yes, maybe, it's complicated.
Apologies if this gets long-winded, you've presented me with an opportunity to address anyone else who may read this thread.
Ultimately, I'd like to discontinue DTGE in favour for Grid v2. What is Grid v2 you ask, there's some details on this thread: https://our.umbraco.com/forum/umbraco-8/94082-grid-v2
However, some would like to see DTGE v8 support as soon as possible, so efforts are being made (by the community, not me) to do that very thing...
