If there is a scenario where parent and child nodes are not published. In the package all nodes are shown at same level in approve it. So if someone just publishes the child node, notification shows success, but I have checked if unpublished parent is there, child node remains unpublished. Which is correct in some way, but my suggestion is the notification should show this.
Or else the unpublished content should be shown in hierarchy as in content tab where approver can relate the content which is needed to be approved.
