I would like to set umbracoApplicationUrl to the localhost url for the umbraco backoffice in the umbracoSettings.config file.
Will this have any implications as there are many sites hosted in this one instance of Umbraco?
Note that visitors to any of these sites will not be able to use the http://www.mysite.com/umbraco folder at all, but visitors using the localhost url can visit the backoffice.
I'm hoping this will fix the errors below filling the log file:
ERROR Umbraco.Web.Scheduling.KeepAlive - Failed (at "http://www.mysite.com/umbraco")
We're on v7.5.14 of Umbraco.
Try to see this documentation - https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/reference/config/umbracosettings/#web-routing
Hope this helps,
I guess I was also asking why this setting is required, and where it is used... it seems to be something to do with internal umbraco functionality aimed at automated publishing, I believe.
Many thanks for your reply,
Yes you are right we are using it for the scheduled publishing / automated publishing and un-publishing.
