I've got an established blog which I'd like to migrate from Articulate to the Grid Layout setup. Any suggestions on how to do this, other than manually!
Think it will have to be a manual process. I assume the Articulate content is in a Rich Text Editor, and given the Grid layout is a completely different composition of content, I simply cannot see how you could automate.
One idea that I had recently to help manage a similar process was to update the document type so that you had both original content and new content on the same document type. Then also add a checkbox like "Use Grid" - you could then hook into this checkbox to determine which one should be used for displaying the content.
This approach enables a managed migration of blog post content.
I'll need to look at my options - I'm in no major rush and may even keep it on Articulate since I have a second website with Grid layout so it's a chance to learn both sides of Umbraco :)
