Hey guys, just a question on trainning course.
I'm currently looking to do the trainning course to become a expert umb dev.
Ive got rough knowledge and created a couple websites, but would love proper mentoring and a nice certifcation, and it apears umb trainning provides that.
So question time:
1) if i take the Fast-track to Umbraco Certified Expert Status package, at later date if i decide to do the apllication integration, would i become master? (im assuming yes as its a point base system i think)
2) If i fail the exam, can i retake? do you have to pay full price again? hows that work?
3) bring my own laptop with basics installed such as .net framework, vs2015 etc?
Just a few questions im keen on finding the answers too.
you get to try 3 times for free, and all questions relate
to the workbook you get during training (you can use the workbook
during the test) - you'll do just fine

good stuff, now i need to present the benefits to my employer, so that they can fund it!
I am looking to do the fundamentals course.
Do you guys know how long is the test?
How many questions?
Is it very difficult?
How many times can we repeat the exam if I fail?
Can we use the workbook or any other reference as someone said earlier in this post?

Hi Jose,
The test is 10 different multiple choice questions, and there is not time on the test so you can use all the time you want to.
If you have followed the course, and have the workbook be side you then I am sure you will pass the test.
All questions relate to the workbook you get during training (you can use the workbook during the test).
You get to try 3 times for free
So nothing has changed :) so you will do fine.

Typical question style is:
Where would you typically store your media files in Umbraco?
A) In a briefcase B) In the Media Section C) In a box above your wardrobe
:-)
.. Most of the answers are contained within the workbook, and you can always get help/guidance from your fellow colleagues.
