I've been trying for ages now to upgrade a 6.1.6 umbraco site to the latest version.
I upgraded to 6.2.6 -> 7.22
However, now when I try to load the site I get the following error on the site:
Page not found
No template exists to render the document at url '/'.
In addition, no template exists to render the custom 404.
This page can be replaced with a custom 404. Check the documentation for "custom 404".
If I try to goto the admin section I get this:
Could not load type 'umbraco.cms.presentation.login'
I'm pretty much at my wits end trying to upgrade umbraco - it seems totally ridiculous that it's this difficult - I can see I'm not the only one as there are thousands of posts about difficulties with upgrading. Unfortunately, everyone seems to have slightly different issues from everyone else!!!!
