Umbraco wasn't designed to contain eight RTEs on one document type - to me it sounds like you should consider refactoring your implementation which would not only benefit performance but also editor experience (and happiness).
Have you - or someone on your team - had a chance to be on one of the official training courses? It's a great way to quickly learn how to utilise Umbraco best.
Optimize RTE in backoffice
Hi guys.
We have document type with 8 RTE instances on it. When content editors start adding content they complain on loading speed big time.
Is there a way to optimize RTE performance?
Why do you need 8 RTEs?
Those are for different parts of layout, like: header, footer, banners, etc.
