How to disable umbraco "Boot failed" screen and get actual error?

    Hello folks,

Is there a way to disable the "Boot failed" screen, and get more information instead? Our application keeps giving the "Boot failed" screen, but there is not logs to be found in the logs folder.

It is odd that there are no logs, you would normally expect boot failed to be in the umbraco log folder. I'm don't think you can disable that page.

If you have full access to the server you could check in the event logs for any errors

If there are no logs then there's usually no permission to write logs which usually means it's a permissions error in the first place - check the site setup

We ended up finding the cause of the boot failed screen, but stil wonder why the logs weren't posted. The folder has the needed permissions.

But if it works, it works.

I have the same issue. Can I ask what yours turned out to be and how you traced it?
