Configuring Contour after upgrading Umbraco from 4.7.1 to 4.7.2

We have an existing Umbraco site running version 4.7.1. We wanted to test version 4.7.2 so that we could find out what, if any, issues might crop up after the upgrade.

One thing which has stopped working is Contour. For example, we cannot create a new form since the UI to enter a form name is cannot be found. Also some XSLT has broken on the site due to missing Contour references. Now having read the Contour installation manual I can see that there are some files which need to be re-edited (i.e. ui.xml, dashboard.config) since the Umbraco upgrade overwrote those files.

My question is this: Rather then having to manually edit these files, is there a way I can automatically do this (by using a tool), taking into account we already have Contour installed (with a .lic file) on the site? By that I mean I don't want to run a Contour package for a different version of Contour to the one already on the site.
