    Contour captcha

We dont use the Contour recpatcha a lot and seen a few warnings lately that the current version would expire and to upgrade it. Has anyone done this or is it a simple enough to upgrade Umbraco to latest version which will include it as default?

    Hi J,

There is some useful documentation on upgrading Umbraco, including a tool that will tell you of any breaking changes between your current version and the version you want to upgrade to, so that should give you a good idea of how easy the upgrade can be.

There's also a great package available to provide the new Google reCaptcha (I'm not a robot), which could be a quicker solution for you.

Thanks for your help. Im using Umbraco 7.4 + (other sites ranging from 7.4, 7.5). It looks like the tool recommended is for version Umbraco v 7.6 by this bit of text

For Umbraco: Version 7.6.x, Version 7.5.x, Version 7.4.x & .NET Version: 4.5.2 Note that the minimum version required to install this package is 7.6.6

Although it states For Umbraco 7.5, 7.4.

Has anyone used this on version 7.4 or 7.5 and it worked? What about sites running on version 6 with Contour? Any easy way of resolving this issue with the captcha?

    Hi J,

If you still are using Umbraco Contour please have a look at Sebastiaans comment here http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/CON-941

You will also find fixes for Umbraco Forms 4 and Umbraco 6.

    Hope this helps,

    /Dennis

Thanks Dennis, I will try this out as it seems like replacing the existing files with the ones within the zip which sounds like an easy fix. Thanks again
