DocType property order not adhered to on package creation

When I create or update my packages the placement order of the doctype properties is not the same as in the initial instance?

Here are a couple of screen shots as examples:

The DocType properties in order in the Settings > Doctypes node:

    DocType Properties

Now the same order in the Content node:

    Content Node Order

Now the package.xml (original on left):

Now if this is a bug I'm happy to report it but I wanted to check with everyone first.

    Cheers!

    Hi

I've seen this bug, for a while but i thought it was fixed a while back.

just looking i think there is a new fix in 7.3.5 for this (http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U4-7553) with regards to the doctype import.

it is possible however that the package creator isn't doing that (your package.xml file looks like it's missing a sort order property). so it might be worth logging it as an issue (if you are using a version higher than 7.3.5

    Thanks Kevin,

That's probably it as the instance was actually 7.3.1; I knew there was a reason I wanted to ask everyone else!

I've updated the instance and can see that while the GeneralProperty elements are still out of order in the xml, the inclusion of the SortOrder element and value has solved this for me in the back office

Thanks for pointing out the resolution!
