UComponents - Multi-Node Tree Picker: Selected nodes not visible in back office

    Hey all

I am using Umbraco 4.7.2 and UComponents 3.1.3

I have a multinode tree picker set up to pick child nodes of a particular folder.

When I select nodes and save, I can see the selected node ID's in the umbraco.config file and on the front end of the website the correct content is displayed.

The trouble is that in the back office once I have saved it appears as if no nodes have been selected. Before the save the selected nodes appear fine.

Attached is a screenshot to illustrate my point

Has anyone encountered this before or have any suggestions on how to fix?

    Thanks in advance

    Lewis

does the tree work just fine after you reload the node? i am having a similar issue with umbraco 4.8.1 and the native MNTP on members in the back office.

No, unfortunately reloading the node or save and publishing it has no effect.

    Hi Lewis,

I haven't seen this issue before, usually the errors are related to the left-side panel's tree.

Do you notice any JavaScript errors? (If you could check for them in either Chrome's dev tools or Firefox's Firebug)

Wondering if there's anything else at play here.

    Cheers, Lee.

After further investigation I have found that only nodes further down my content tree allow their children to remain selected by the MNTP.

If you see attached screenshot, I can set the start node to be any of the business or region nodes, and I can choose their children using the MNTP and on save they remain visible.

If I set the start node to anything below 'Your Region (UK)' i.e. 'Our People', 'News & Events' etc... then I can choose their children, but on save they are not selected.

As my 'homepage banners' folder is further down than 'Your Region (UK)' it does not work.
I have tried moving the 'homepage banners' node further up the list but this has no effect

Does anyone have any ideas what the issue might be?

    Hi Ayo,

Do you have any JS errors in your browser (or dev tools)?

There hasn't been much (technical info) to go on for me to help debug this issue.

    Thanks,
    - Lee
