I'm experiencing a weird issue with a Umbraco 4.9.2 site running on an Azure VM with an Azure sql db.
For some reason, the backend will hang when logging in, and it will not start working until the application is recycled.
The symptoms are:
Fetching the login.aspx page succeeds. Logging in succeeds, and it redirects to /umbraco/ The GET operation on /umbraco/ hangs, and will not respond.
If I then do an iis reset and refresh the page, then I get the dashboard. So I am authenticated correctly, but the /umbraco/ page hangs for some reason.
There are no entries in the event log, and nothing in the elmah error logging either.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is there any chance of some sort of deadlock when loading the dashboard page?
