    Asp.Net Identity in Umbraco

    API Questions

    Hi, I hope I am in a right topic.  I was wondering if Umbraco is extensible enough to support Asp.Net Identity implementation.  

    So far I couldn't find a right place for information.  Can anyone please direct me to the right source - would be much appreciated.

    Thanks Jan, this is a very useful site.  I now realise that an existing MVC application we use is based on MVC4 with older technoloogy - Membership rather than Identity.  Now I am asking myself 2 questions:

    Is Umbraco has old Membership available when building new site in Umbraco?  If yes, should I work with Umbraco membership to sync with our MVC application (like cross site authentication more seemlessly).

    Or should I create new Umbraco site based on Identity and that should work with MVC 4 (membership), ie cross site authentication with no problem?

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
