    Is it possible to switch off Umbraco website but allow editors to add content?

    Is there a way out of the box to prevent a website being accessed but still allow editors to build up content? We've realised Google has somehow started to index our new site before we are ready to go live We have version 6.16 Thanks

    Hi Graeme,

    You could use the nofollow noindex meta tag to prevent Google to index your new site.You can find some information about it here; https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/93710?hl=en

    <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow">

    Since your site is starting to be indexed, you can remove the urls from Google by follwing this guide.

    https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en&ref_topic=1724262

    Hope this helps,

    Remember to remove the meta tag when you are launching your site

    /Dennis
