Marketing foundation campaign for volume discount

    Hi

We're trying to create a marketing campaign in which we give a 10% discount on a product if the customer buys 10 or more items of that product. Example: Customer buys 10 items of product1, so he should get a 10% discount on that orderline

But what we're seeing is that the discount is given when the customer buys at least 10 items in total. Example: Customer buys 7 items of product1 and 3 items of product2 and gets a 10% discount on those two orderlines.

We only want to give a 10% discount on the orderline in which the customer has bought 10 items or more, meaning that in the second example, he shouldn't get any discount since he didn't buy 10 items of a single product.

    Here's our campaign setup.

Can we do this in Marketing Foundation out-of-the-box, or do we have to create a custom act- or award-method?

    Hi Marianne,

Isn't it because that you need to specify which product we are talking about by adding their exact SKU that should trigger the volume discount. (I guess)

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks for your suggestion, Dennis.

I should have explained it better in my original post: I want the discount to apply to all products, so I can't just add some SKUs for which the campaign should apply. Also: The products are imported from a separate system every day, so they may vary from day to day.

    Hi Marianne,

Yes so you want to give 10 % on the each orderline if the customer buys at least 10 items of a product in that category.  I am not sure that this is possible out of the box, without specify the exact SKUs, again am guessing here, so maybe you need to create a custom act- or award-method.

If it the case take a look here for the documentation as you probably know: docs.ucommerce.net/ucommerce/v6/getting-started/marketing-foundation

    Hi Marianne,

You should be able to target all products if you in your act choose "Product Catalog" and choose your product catalog. As for the minimum quantity for each product it seems you have to implement your own marketing target.

Take a look for an example here: http://docs.ucommerce.net/ucommerce/v6/extending-ucommerce/marketing-foundation/add-a-new-advertise-and-act-target.html

I think you will be fine with uCommerces awards. So you should focus on a new act :)

    Best regards
    Martin
