    Different users, different orders.

My company is considering using Tea Commerce for a solution, and we wanted to know if it would be possible in any way (programatically or otherwise) to have different views for different users? Fx if one user would only deal with shoes sales and another user would only deal with hats, would it be possible to hide hat orders for the shoe user and vice versa?

    Best regards

    Hi Sune,

That would be easy as the products in Tea Commerce are ordinary Umbraco content nodes. This means that, if Umbraco can do it, Tea Commerce can do it. Actually Tea Commerce would have nothing to do with it, it's all up to how you present the prdocuts/nodes to the user.

Only thing you would have to do is create the different membergroups and deside which nodes should be shown to which member groups. This could be done with either the buildt in umbraco member system or by giving the products or a complete product group some properties describing what users may view them. The last solution could be done in any number of ways, depending on your use case.

Hope that answers your question. Otherwise you're welcome to expand on your question.

    /Rune

Well my request regarding different views was targetted at the Tea Commerce backend, so I'm not sure wether it's possible to have usser specific views there yet?

But the assignment hasn't begun yet so I haven't started lookin in to specific solutions/hacks yet.

Ah, No. Theres no way of restricting certain users from parts of the Tea Commerce backend. We might be able to implement it for you though. If you really need it, write to our [email protected].

    Hi Fengetz

I know that we didnt solve your question with a real solution but the best solution is to write us at [email protected] and we could look into how to fix it or add it to the product. If you find Rune's answer helpfull it would help others if you marked it as the solution - so they can get quick access to the "solution".

    Kind regards Anders
