Sorry if this is stupid but after a half day, I still can't figure out how to change the width of the fields. Any tips, pointers, ideas, etc?

yep, it was dumb, i've just never worked with forms before. so in case someone else is also:. 'size=' for the RenderTextField and 'cols=' for the RenderTextareaField. see your favorite html reference. say goodnight, gracie.
