I've raised U4-4783 to look into the issue in the U7 core that prevents DocTypes with custom Dropdowns from being packaged correctly which then means that uSync cannot sync them (they get imported as a base Umbraco.Dropdown rather than your custom one with prevalues)
Please vote the issue up if it impacts you and join the discussion if you understand where Umbraco is headed with the new DataTypeDefinition in U7.
Hi yes, this has been updated - latest version 2.2.5 contains the fix for this.
The logic of how usync was attempting to keep track of changed to the property type between syncs wasn't right, as a result it was taking the custom types and setting them back to the default (so DropDown list) - i have removed the offending code - and will have a look at a better way to track changes between value types in another release.

Turns out I was barking up the wrong tree. Issue 14 raised instead :)
