    Import from another Umbraco instance

    Configuration
    Umbraco 7

    I'm trying to import some content from Umbraco 4.7 into 7.2. I've installed the Umbraco provider, but cannot see this option when setting up the task.

    I'm still on the trial at the moment, is this one of the limitations ?

    Hi Richard,

    We are considering purchasing the pro license as we need to import content structures from v6.1.6 to v7.12.3 . With a single domain license are we able to use the import tool with localhost? We do our dev work locally before pushing to a live environment so we wanted to check before purchasing.

    Hi Barry,

    Yes you can configure an additional dev/staging domain and it will work on localhost.
