Well, the main pitfall was that it was a lot of work ;-)
I created replicas of the payment and shipping providers, that was a bit of a hassle. Sometimes exceptions within merchello werent logged, which added some time to the development. Sometimes I needed to use functionality which wasn`t available in merchello, because of sealed classes. Therefore, I copied functionality to my project more then once :-)
And I have none AngularJS experience, that got me into trouble here and there, I really should get up to speed on that one.
new merchello site: www.bieby.nl
After some extensive development, im happy to announce a new merchello powered webshop is online: https://www.bieby.nl :-)
Its a site where people can rent baby clothes (sorry the whole site is in dutch ;-))
Due to requirements (mainly because its renting, not selling) , there was some extensive development, but happy with the result in the end.
Some keypoints are a custom lucene index (product based, not variant based), and we`re using bobobrowse.net to get the search facets to work.
There is still some work to be done, but I guess thats always the case :-)
Hi Dossie
Nice job, can you, please, share with our community what pitfalls or interesting issues did you find during a development of this eshop?
/Alex
