I'm having issues with merchello not pulling in the extended content. It was working earlier but has now stopped working (I can still use Model.Name etc, just not any of the content fields).
I've seen a thread stating to delete the product content type & recreate it but that didn't work for me.
I've seen similar issues with earlier versions where the default language was changed. If you have more than one language enabled to make sure there is extended content for each and see if that makes a difference?

Seems like you're onto something, I haven't quite figured it out but I'll update this topic when I solve it.
It's language related. I set a breakpoint on my product code and by default it's pulling in Chinese (ZH).
Any idea if there's a way to force a cultureName to be "en" everytime, I'm not interested in using multilingual for these products.
FYI: By default in the merchello settings, the language is set to "English".
