I'm wondering does Merchello support the import of catalog data from sources (like csv files). Say for example a supplier regularly gives a file with latest product info I would like to update based on the new data.
However, this doesn't deal with updates to current products or lengthy product information which I expect will be kept in Umbraco content pages and not the Merchello database.
Can you tell me more about what and how you would like the process to happen?
Thanks for that. I was just thinking from the perspective of a retailer that might pull their product/stock data from another system (e.g. SAP) and need to feed that into the Merchello catalog. I work with many retailers who need to do this on an hourly basis to keep systems in sync.
I see TeaCommerce and UCommerce have something similar to what I am thinking of - TeaCommerce supporting it through CMSImport and UCommerce through UConnector. That would essentially be the process I'm thinking of.
I have plans to make a CMSImport compatible with Merchello. It requires CMSImport V3 (not yet released) but if you are interested to test please let me know.

There isn't a tool to do this however I've been toying with the idea myself. Adding products is easy and straightforward.
