    Hi Kevin!

This looks fantastic - h5yr. What's the reasoning behind the choice of a BY-NC-ND license?

    Best,

    Niels...

    Hi

I suppose the short answer is because I am not sure it will be 100% open source.

Its been quite a bit of work to get to this point, and I can't really justify just giving it all away given the time I've spent on it, and will spend on supporting it. :(

At the moment i am thinking free for one language translation, with a licence to open it up to multiple languages. It means its still usable for people with small sites. When an agency is working on a larger multilingual site, then maybe they can afford to support the tools that help them make that easier?

I know it's not the open source dream, but this is the type of thing I can't commit to without some possiblity of getting something for the time. Other open source projects and tools I do sometimes suffer because I can't always commit the free time to them, so if this is to get any level of support it needs to have at least the possiblity of an income stream from it.

(I wrote a whole lot of other stuff, but I've deleted it - because well this isn't really the ideal place to work it out - suffice to say, if you can think of another way i can get some income for the time commitment then I am all ears)
