    Working in 7.5?

    Hi there,

Used Tag Manager successfully in 7.4, but it doesn't seem to be working since upgrading to 7.5. Anybody else have any luck? Any obvious reason why it might fail?

    Cheers Andy

Sorry, thought I should add a screengrab...

This is what I see in the dashboard.

    Hi Andy

Have you had a look in the log files to see if there are any errors reported ?

Can you confirm if there is a directory called TagManager under App_Plugins ? I ask as this may indicate an issue with the installation of the package.

If nothing from the above 2 ideas, then I can spin up a blank site and install the package to try and track down the cause

    Cheers, Nigel

    Hi there,

Thanks for the reply - sorry, I've only just got a chance to get back to you.

Yes, there is a TagManager folder under App_Plugins, and the following was in the error log:

    2016-09-01 14:19:14,319 [P8148/D2/T330] WARN Umbraco.Core.Services.ApplicationTreeService - The tree definition: <add initialize="true" sortOrder="0" alias="TagManagerTree" application="TagManager" title="Tag Manager" iconClosed="icon-doc" iconOpen="icon-folder-open" type="Yoyocms.Umbraco7.TagManager.TagManagerTreeController, Yoyocms.Umbraco7.TagManager" /> could not be resolved to a .Net object type

The former seems like a good thing. The latter, not so. Any thoughts? Have I lost a reference somewhere?

    Hi Andy

How did you upgrade the site ? Nuget ? If so did you overwrite config files ? There should be backup configs in the App_Data directory for you to do a file compare against.

Otherwise, time allowing I will have to spin up a site and see what happens - haven't managed to find enough time in my day to do that yet.

    Cheers, Nigel

    Hi Muhammad

Have you tried restarting your site to ensure all cached config files are refreshed, etc ?

    Cheers ,Nigel

    Hi Nigel,

Yes I did everything logged out and logged back in with no effect, so tried refreshing with config change with no results as well, so eventually had to uninstall.

    Hi there

Just a quick note to let you know I have just released an updated package (built on 7.5.7)

New functionality includes updating of nodes / media.

Be great to get feedback on any issues encountered / enhancement suggestions.

    Cheers Nigel

    Hi Nigel,

Can the new tag manager version 4.0 be used on Umbraco version 7.5.4?

    Thanks

    Hi JLon

To be honest I am not sure.

Feel free to spin up a test site and give it a go - I might get time today to also have a play.

    Cheers

    Nigel
