Tag on a Media Document Type Bug

This is the third time I've tried to post this, so not sure what's going on..

Umbraco 4.7.1 installed Tag manager today

After adding a tag to a media document type and then clicking on that particular tag in the Tag Manager section it gives an error: No Document exists with Version xxxx.

    Hi Lucuma

Initially my reaction was that I haven't provided for media in the Tag Manager.

However I have just tried adding tags to the Image media item and then have accessed the Tag Manager with no problems.

Admittedly the "Pages Tagged" section won't list any media items but apart from that everything (for me) functions as expected.

So at this stage I am a bit puzzled...

Are you able to post some screens shots of the Tag Manager section - initial view, clicked on a Tag view, error, etc. This may help me track down the issue.

    Cheers

    Nigel

    Hi Lucuma

    Thanks for the screen shots.

Based on the information provided above you are getting this error (http://screencast.com/t/MTtANg4wY) as soon as you click on the tag in the site tree. Is this correct ?

The reason for double checking is that I do not get any errors on my test site when I did some testing. In short I added the the tag data type to the Image media type, added tags and then edited the tag in Tag Manager - this screenshot shows the tag in the tag manager view and the media item overlaid.

Subsequent to these screenshots I also add the "Winter Woollies" tag to a document, went back into the Tag Manager view and still there were no errors. So am not able to replicate things at this stage.

Also the tag screen shot () - this is a different view of tags to the default tag manager. What is the package you are using. Or is it simply a different browser that renders things differently? Are you able to also provide a screenshot of the entries in the umbracoTags table within your database ?

    Cheers

    Nigel

    Hi Lucuma

Forget the above - I think I may have solved the issue.

Send me an email ([email protected]) and I can send you the updated code to try out.

If it works for you then I will update the package in the packages repository.

    Cheers

    Nigel

    Hi Lucuma

    Cheers for the confirmation.

For others reading this forum, the issue was that the tag manager didn't provide for tagged media nodes. I have made a change to the code and it now lists all content and media nodes without erroring.

An update to the package will be released soon - release 1.3
