    Compatible with UmbracoFileSystemProviders.Azure?

Just curious if this package would play well with UmbracoFileSystemProviders.Azure.

    Hello Alex,

While I haven't tested out the package in an Azure environment, I suspect the package might run into few problems when you do.

During the optimization process, the package performs a clean-up to make sure that no unnecessary files linger on the hard disk. However as I recall Azure requires you to use a specific provider to read/write to the storage device in the Azure environment.

Most of the work the package does goes through Umbraco's Media Services, so updating the package to work with Azure should not require a lot of effort on our end. If enough people would like to see this feature added, we could do so.

If you do decide to try and run the package in an Azure environment, I would like to hear how it works out!

    Hi ,

I have been using this plugin and used to work fine.

I have a requirement for which i need to use the UmbracoFileSystemProviders.Azure .

Thus request you to please confirm the compatibility.

I am using Umbraco v7.3.5 + Official Kraken Image Optimizer plugin + UmbracoFileSystemProviders.Azure.

The Official Kraken Image Optimizer plugin seems to be failing some where.

Request you to please guide the way forward.

    Regards,

    Mayank Parekh

I did not actually try it out, but based on the comment above, I gather it does not work. That said, James South told me that the ImageProcessor Post Processor plugin (http://imageprocessor.org/imageprocessor-web/plugins/postprocessor/) will optimize images, so I'm using that instead.

I actually am in the midst of trying to get this to work right now as well. I would absolutely use this for my entire agency, we run about 30+ Umbraco sites and would definitely be using this for every site if possible. We have Azure blob storage for every site, so having this work with it would be a miracle.

    Thanks, - Chaz

Are there any updates regarding UmbracoFileSystemProviders and Kraken? planning to add kraken in our website since we already storing our images on Blob Storage.
