    Images doesn't get optimized

I don't see any optimization result after fresh installation on umbraco 7.2.4.

Basically nothing is happening when optimizing the image other than telling me that the image has been optimized.

    Hi Stefan,

and can you send a screenshot of the second tab of the media-item?

It should show how much percent is saved.

    Greetings Jeffrey

Mmm, that's weird. And you have provided a valid key and secret in the configuration?

That's weird :S... It also weird that the "Percent saved" is empty because if it worked correctly there should always be a percentage, even if it's 0.0%.

For now I'm clueless. Are you at CodeGarden next week so I can look at your installation :)?

Sadly i'm not able to attend :'(

If you could provide a PDB or source or any code? I could test it and find the bug.

    Hi Stefan,

sorry that I didn't got back to you earlier. Could you please send me your solution or give me access to your Umbraco so I can take a look?

We will be releasing the source code soon to GitHub so you can have a look yourself.

    Greetings Jeffrey

    No problem Jeffrey :)

It's no hurry, so I'll just wait for the source and test it out.

    Cheers

im having the same problem. The UI works but images arnt getting optimised I've noticed that every time I save the datatype Status the string value changes.

    [{"Key":"values","Value":[{"Key":"values","Value":[{"Key":"values","Value":[{"Key":"0","Value":"/App_Plugins/Kraken/status.ascx"}]}]}]}]

    Hi Will,

any further input? Which Umbraco version? Maybe the image before and after?

We've uploaded a new version this friday that also has a button "Rekrak all", which allows you to rekrak a button even though it's already krakked. Maybe you can take a look at that.

    Hey Jeffrey

we are on 7.3 - RC and using Azure Blob storage to store our media. I've tried that button also saving individual media items and uploading new ones nothing seems to kick off Kraken ATM.

    Hi Will,

this is probably caused because we haven't really tested in Azure yet. But we will try to do that this month.

Also we're planning to post the source on GitHub, but hadn't found the time. The only thing I could offer right now is sharing a .zip-file of the source code, if you want to debug it yourself.

    Hi all,

today we finally found some time to put everything up on GitHub. You can find the source over here: https://github.com/PerplexInternetmarketing/

Hope you can take a look at it and help us out :)

As stated before; we will be putting up a Azure testcase soon, but I don't expect it will be before December this year.

    Have a nice weekend, Jeffrey

    Hi all,

Any information related to Azure? For me this tool is not working. I can press for each image "Optimize image" but nothing happens also compression date, original size, percent saved are empty. I've try also "Optimize all images" from Image Optimizer tab in Media section. In web portal i succeed to optimize images, so i think that my keys are correct. For the moment i'm using free version of kraken. It's possible to have more that 100 MB of images and this is the reason for not optimizing my images?

I use the last Umbraco version (7.4, i think) and the tool doesn't work on local and also on azure.

    Thanks!

    Hi Stefan,

I was on a long holiday so I didn't have anytime to respond. We are under the impression some stuff changed in either Umbraco or the webservice of Kraken what causes this package to not work properly anymore.

I hope to find some time in the upcoming two weeks to have a look at this but I'm not sure. You can always find the source code online if you need to fix it yourself.

    Greetings Jeffrey
