    Is EventCalendar still in development?

    Hi there,

Is this project still in development? If so, how do I purchase a license? Your site seems down: https://davidbrendel.de/

Lastly, is it compatible with the latest version of Umbraco?

    Thanks!

    Hi Shola,

yes the project is still in development.

That said, I'm currently only fixing bugs as I'm delaying new features until v8 of umbraco. Caused by missing time and some stuff that I want to work with that hopefully get integrated into v8.

For the website, I'm facing some issues with my hosting. The website should be back up soon and licenses can be purchased through the website.

The latest version which I tested with is 7.6. Haven't tested it with the latest one. Will do a test when I have some time.

    Regards David

Just to say, I've been adding the package to a 7.7.9 site and no problems so far.

    Hi David,

I would like to pitch this to my client but I need to know how much for a license and how long does that give you for use on your website? Do you have an eta when I can purchase a license? If not would I be able to temporarily use this on a staging URL that you approve? I response back ASAP would be awesome!

    Thanks David!

    Hi James,

the licenses can be purchased without the website up as the commerce stuff is handled externally.

There are three licenses: Domain for 99€ which is tied to a domain but version independent. The server license which is restricted to an ip for 299€ and also version independent. The unlimited license for 499€ which you can use how often you want but restricted to the current major version.

    Domain: https://checkout.chec.io/Zty9WK

    Server: https://checkout.chec.io/ki7QiE

    Unlimited: https://checkout.chec.io/Poggcs

    Hello David

I would like to purchase your EventCalendar license but there doesn't seem to be a place to enter a domain name on the links you posted up above. How do we go about setting this up after we have paid for it?

    Thank you

    Tyler

    Hi Tyler,

after you purchased the license I will send you an email asking for the domain/IP you want to use. Then I create the license and send it to you.

Currently, there is no automation for that.

    Regards David

Is there an interactive demo we can try it out on and see if it will suit our needs before we purchase the license? I installed it but am not able to make calendars, I'm assume because I don't have a valid license. I"m very interested in trying it out before hand.

    Hi Steph,

The events calendar package has it's own user system. Have you given yourself permissions there to create calendars? If you go into the events calendar section you should see a users option. If you expand users you should see yourself listed, if you click on your name you can then manage your permissions.

I believe you can trial the package on localhost without a license.

Yes, I have permissions where I can create calendars/locations. However when I go to right click on calendar or locations to create a new one...it's blank. Which is why I assumed I need to the license to even try it out. I'm using Umbraco version 7.8.1

    Hi Steph,

have you installed the package locally and are you using localhost? The package has a free trial running on localhost with a fixed amount of calendar/locations/organizer you can create. If you use it with a domain than the license check kicks in.

Also when the package doesn't find a valid license it should display a message in the package dashboard.

    Regards David
