Where can I find documentation about older versions of umbraco?
I tried finding some on https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/ but there's only docs related to the latest version.
At the moment I specifically need docs for Verison 4.
It really depends on what you need. A lot of concepts haven't really changed since v4. Then again a lot of concepts have changed.
To better answer your questions, it's always good to specify what you're looking for so people can point you in the right direction.
At the moment I still don't have anything in particular apart from getting to know an old project.
My point is that I'd like to not have to come on here and post new questions every time I'd like to understand something.
From your answer - I take it the documentation isn't available. And if I'd like to know something I have to post questions on the forum and wait for an answer (which, let's be real, isn't efficient especially considering how many unanswered old questions there are on our even since 2012)
If the documentation is in fact, available somewhere, it would be great if it's made available to the public under https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/ somewhere.
Thank you for your time.
It REALLY depends on what you're going to run into, Google is a great help, the documentation is all in Git so you could go back in history https://github.com/umbraco/UmbracoDocs
But let's face it, we haven't had a whole lot of good documentation until recently, mostly since v7. So if you're looking for something, make sure to use Google a lot, there's loads and loads of old content still out there so it shouldn't be too hard to find what you need.
And as always, our friendly community here is happy to answer any questions if you can't figure something out.
