    CHANGE THE UMBRACO 7 ADMIN URL

    Hi folks, what is the best way to change the url of the admin page?

    I have read that you should add a url re-write in your

    '/config/urlrewriting.config' file.

    I can’t find the urlrewriting.config file within the config folder!

    Any help or pointers much appreciated.

    Check out the AppSetting umbracoPath. I tried this once though and gave up because it was more hassle than it was worth. https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/reference/config/webconfig/

    Better to block access to the umbraco path from external locations (IP filter) using the IIS rewrite module.

    /config/urlrewrite.config is removed in Umbraco 7.6 (ish), so even if you're using an earlier version you probably want to avoid using technology which isn't present in future upgrades.
