sudden increase in umbraco file size

We regularly take backup of umbraco deployed on production server. We noticed that there is sudden increase in folder size of backup which was due to media folder.

But we checked and confirmed that changes we have made are alright and there seems no issue.

Then why this is happening from last two times we took backup? any idea on this?

    Hi HRG

What did you mean increase size of backup?

Backup of the database backup was increased or media?

    Thanks,

    Alex

user has only uploaded two photo gallery images, but that won't increase the size so much. So, what else can be checked?

    hi hrg

    Did you solve the issue?

Can you check what files are new in the media folder?

    Thanks,

    Alex

    Hi

Glad, that you solved your issue, it's hard to manage a lot of medias with Umbraco. I think it will be improved soon.

    Thanks

    Alex

If its the media folder, it could be that you have added a new image crop size and all the images have been re cropped to that size?
