    Hitting 'Save' shows modified content on Local. Then what is 'Save and publish'?

    Using Umbraco And Getting Started
    Umbraco 7

    Hi, I have installed Umbraco on my local machine for practice. Logged in as Admin, when I hit 'Save' to save the content and launch http://localhost:xxxx/, I see the changed content. But I'm expecting to see the changes only after hitting 'Save & Publish'?? Please let me know what am I missing here and why I'm able to see the changed content without hitting 'Save and Publish?

    Can you show how did you render your page?

    Did you use IPublishedContent object?

    Hi Alex,

    I simply browsed http://localhost:xxxx/homepage/ after making the content changes on homepage and hit 'Save'.

    I assume I should only see the changed content only after I press 'Save and publish' button and not just 'Save'.

    Please clarify if I'm missing something here.

    FYI, I have created a project (File > New > Project..) in VS 2012 and added Umbraco CMS to the solution. I also, created a home page following basic tutorial - https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/tutorials/creating-basic-site/
