I see where 7.4.2 was just released last week but its still using Angular version 1.1.5. Does anyone know when Umbraco will be upgraded to use the lastest stable build of Angular (1.5.8) or later?

    Thanks

    Hi Tom,

    Umbraco has a release plan - https://our.umbraco.org/contribute/progress

Upgrading of angular we can wait at the end of 2016 with version 8.

    Thanks,

    Alex

The current version of Angular is 4.x

I notice that in the roadmap, version 8 will still be 1.x

Is a bump to be in line with the latest version on the cards in or after version 9 (or at least have it as an option), or will the back office always lag behind?

This is off-putting to new developers as they need to learn an obsolete version in order to be able to extend Umbraco.

    Thanks

    Anthony
