    Hi,

I was after a bit of advise about whether any version of Umbraco support .net 4.6. I want to make use of the Always Encrypted feature of SQL Server 2016 but can only do this with .net 4.6.

    Thanks in advance,

Hi Daniel and welcome to the Umbraco developer forum :)

You should be able to use .NET 4.6 in at least Umbraco 7.4 as far as I know.

Hi, We have tried to install the latest umbraco 7.6.4 onto SQL 2016 with Always Encrypted on but failed.

Not sure what is the correct method/procedure to install Umbraco.

Any ideas? Is there a step by step guide to do this?

    Jon

    Hi John,

Can you tell me what you did to get this working. I've tried adding this to the connection string:-

    Column Encryption Setting=enabled

Is there anything else we need to do?

    Thanks

    Paul
