Config file - Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Courier

Hi all,

i upgraded Umbraco to v6.2.5 and using Courier_2.7.8.2.v6.hotfix. When i try to deploy with courier i'm getting this error:

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. 
at Umbraco.Courier.Core.Repository.loadSettings(XmlNode settingsXml) 
at Umbraco.Courier.Core.Storage.RepositoryStorage.GetAll() 
at Umbraco.Courier.UI.Dialogs.CommitItem.OnInit(EventArgs e) 
at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) 
at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

I can confirm that i have valid Courier.config file.

Any ideas?

@Almir Makes ure you have a valid courier.config file on both the source and traget instances. The error is definitely related to an invalid config file.

Nope, after few weeks of debugging I couldn't find out what was wrong. Sometimes was working sometimes was not so i couldn't rely on Courier.

I'm also using Umbraco v6.2.4 with Courier_2.7.8.43.v6 and have encountered the exact same error.

I've found that re-installing the Courier package resolves this issue, however this is only temporary as the error appeared again, only after a few days after the reinstall.
