Approved Color Data Type not transferring - Courier

    Hi all,

I've been able to reproduce this in serveral scenarios (from and to several repositories) where the selected value in the Approved Color data type does not transfer with the content when pushed form one location to another using Courier 2.0. This is Umbraco 4.7.

    Has anyone else seen this?

    Thanks,
    Nik

I'm guessing that we just can't use this data type with Courier? Or, is there a potential for a patch in the near future?

    Thanks,
    Nik

    Hi Nik

Will add it to my todolist, due to the way the color picker is built it *should* transfer the same way as the checkboxes or dropdownlist controls are done, so it should be supported, will try to reproduce and get a fix in 2.5

Right-on, thanks! For now I simply changes this DT to a textstring.

    Thanks,
    Nik

Hi nick, just tried to replicate in 2.5 beta 2, and it seems to transfer pre-values and the entered value on a document just fine.

I got the same problem with color picker in umbraco version 4.7.1.1 with Courier version 2.5.4.1 and umbraco v4.7.2 with Courier v 2.6 installed.

    • Colorpicker datatypes are not tranfert.
    • Dropdown list datatypes are transfered but each tranfer leads to additional prevalues in the target installation.
    • I have tested with full and express licences.

    Dirk
