I created Sub folders in the Media section to organize the site assets as I'm accustomed to doing in previous Umbraco versions.
When using the media picker to add content to a page, if I try to select a sub-folder to navigate into, the folder is selected as the 'picked' item, rather than allowing me to navigate in and pick child media items (see screen grab below).
Is there something I'm missing here or am I right in thinking this is a bug?
It did not work for me even when I was clicking on the text. I could not get inside the subfolder.
What appeared to be the issue was that I had changed the content type of the Folder Meda Type to Multiple Media Picker instead of (Obsolete) Folder Browser. Setting it back to the original value fixed the issue.
BTW, why has Folder Browser become Obsolete in 7.4?

I've noticed this, but it does work, try clicking on the text rather than the folder icon (or vice versa, can't remember), just a bit weird UI.
