Rhythm Interactive, an Orange County, CA based interactive marketing agency is looking for an exceptionally talented person with 3+ years experience to fill a challenging Web Application Developer position. You must be an expert in using the dynamic programming tools and languages that fuel the web as you’ll be working with our talented team to create user-centered interactive marketing solutions for nationally and internationally recognized brands. Your specific role is to make it work, which means developing web applications and testing them on various browsers, enhancing and modifying them as necessary to ensure the best experience for the user. You must have an in-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to communicate project status, issues, and resolutions.

Skills and Experience:

• Understand object-oriented programming
• Understand general database concepts
• Understand the architecture of clients, servers, and Internet systems
• Understand security aspects, such as forms authentication and membership and roles
• Create and implement websites
• Create and monitor web applications for clients and servers
• Design and deliver web services
• Code, test, and support database-driven web applications
• Ability to configure and deploy web applications
• Write functional and design specifications for web applications
• Be proficient in HTML5, XML, and JSON
• Experience with troubleshooting and debugging of Web applications
• Experience with JavaScript and jQuery
• Experience with ASP.NET 4.5, PHP or Node.js
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or MongoDB

Additional skills considered a plus:

• Have strong working knowledge of Internet Information Services (IIS), Apache, or Nginx
• Experience targeting mobile devices
• Experience developing responsive websites
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Backbone, Angular, etc.)
• Experience with client-side templating (Handlebars, Jade, Dust, etc.)
• Experience with CSS pre-processors (SASS, LESS, Stylus, etc.)
• Solid understanding of the ASP.NET applications event model
• Experience with LINQ
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Experience with Heroku
• Experience with Umbraco, Drupal, or Wordpress
