umbraco tried this to match it using this xpath query'/root/

    Hi,

We have a website running www.example.com in Asp.net. Now we create directory lp as virtual directory and installed umbraco in that directory. Root site had concept of theme. Now when a new page is create from umbraco then we get this error.

    ----------------------------

No umbraco document matches the url 'http://example.com/lp/testpage15.aspx'

    umbraco tried this to match it using this xpath query'/root/* [@urlName = "testpage15"] | /root/*/* [@urlName = "testpage15"]')

This page can be replaced with a custom 404 page by adding the id of the umbraco document to show as 404 page in the /config/umbracoSettings.config file. Just add the id to the '/settings/content/errors/error404' element.

For more information, visit information about custom 404 on the umbraco website.

    -------------------------

But when we edit web.config file of umbraco or restart the umbraco application from iis the page will work

Please help us on this issue

    Thanks

All umbraco pages are dynamic (i.e. they don't really exist).

If you do not have an node called 'testpage15' then it won't work.

From what you say, though, it displays after you touch the web.config.

Can you confirm that you have a node with that name.

    Hi Tarik

Are you sure you didn't change any thing in umbraco backoffice (any properties of the testpage15 node)? Because I've faced same problem when the template is missing  in a node.

    Thanks

    Pnima

Are you naming it 'testpage15.aspx' or just 'testpage15'?  It needs to be the later. (exclude .aspx)
