A personalized front page, maybe some sort of widgets?
A Twitter stream from the "umbraco" keyword. Great for none twitterers to catch up on current debate/news
Subpackages. For example when you create a skin for the Creative Website Starterkit, where do you put it?
A page with guidance on how to use the forum/wiki and so on.
People -> groups. Allow people to set up usergroups with their own forum.
Separate jobs area, perhaps with geo/map funtionality. Find jobs nearby.
Website showcase, with voting. Show your cool site and get karma in return.
Lists with most viewed posts / highest rated and so on.
Tagging. Normal tagging is not effective, but maybe predefined "persona" tagging like "Great for beginners", "Developer samples", "Hidden gem"
Use google analytics to do search keyword stats, and use them to see what people have trouble finding info about.
Sorting search results by date/votes.
In general, the our umbraco should be shaped by the community.
