    is tiff images available ?

    Hey :)

Ive found a year old post that says tiff is unoffically working, is this changed to be officially supported or what is the status on that ?

Im asking because we have a customer who wants to use all their tiff images inside umbraco for the web but also so it could function as a full on media database. Because some of their resellers has to download high res images to be used in print materiale.

    Hi, Rasmus,

Yes, the latest versinos of ImageGen Professional support tiff images. You may see a colour shift if the tiff is cmyk as all display output is rgb and the colour gamuts are not identical. And, because there are a million (well, couple-dozen) ways a tiff file can be saved there may be one or two combinations that aren't supported. Best thing to do is try it on localhost with some of your images to be sure you're happy with the results. Use the &format= parameter to convert to a web-viewable format to display the thumbnails, and then link to the original tiff file for people to download the print-ready versions.

    cheers,
    doug.
