Glad you like it - and more importantly that it works! (It's one thing testing it yourself, but great it's not borking out in the wild!)
Having remote access to static files outside of Umbraco has been a frustration for me on several projects - there have been times when I am "out and about" and need to do a quick update to the Robots.txt (or in one case, to create one).
