Having altered the event description to the above, I got the listing I expected i.e. one listing for every Sunday between the start and end dates.
To me these are two ways of expressing the same thing: there's a brunch every Sunday between March 1 2011 and June 30 2011. But since only only the last alternative rendered a result I'm just curious to know what the difference is? How should I think about the weekly recurrence option?
basically, there should be no difference in the 2 ways you described and tried. Both ways should return the same events.
Coming to think of it, I think there is a difference in the version you are using and the latest version.......I told you therre wasn't, but I remeber this bug beigh there, so it could very possibly be that that bug still is present in your version....
By using the weekly option, you are able to set an event to recur every 2 or 3 weeks instead of every week (which you also can achieve by using the daily recurrence).
Since the daily option renders the correct result, it's not a big problem. The only problem will be if the client I'm building the site for tries to use the weekly recurrence option instead of the daily for events occuring once a week and gets no result. At least I'm aware of the problem and can instruct them how to avoid it.
Do you still do bugfixes and updates to the 4.x version?
Recurrance once a week? Two different ways of expressing it.
Hi!
I'm using PDCalendar pro to list a series of events. To test recurrance I added the following event to my calendar and tested it today (2011-04-06):
"Sunday brunch"
Start date: 2011-03-01
End date: 2011-06-30
Recurrence: Weekly
Every: 1 week(s)
On: Sunday
In my calendar listing I got no listing of this event.
Then I altered the event to this:
"Sunday brunch"
Start date: 2011-03-01
End date: 2011-06-30
Recurrence: Daily
Every: Sunday
Having altered the event description to the above, I got the listing I expected i.e. one listing for every Sunday between the start and end dates.

Does this make sense to you?
