I was just trying to do a simple add to basket and have used the code base on the rosetta website. The rosetta project runs fine but in the other installation where merchello package is installed on an existing website I get "
Unable to validate data" whenever I try to add anything. I'm probably missing something in the config file somewhere. Has this happened to anybody?
Patrick - I don't recognize that error either. Jan's suggestion is a good place to start. It would also be helpful for me know what Merchello version you are trying to install. It may be that the Product index did not rebuild successfully. In version 1.4.0 we have refactored the way that works as well - we now have a much better fall back / reindex mechanism in place. Essentially the index is used as more of a cache than a search.
Thanks for the replies, it's version 1.3 but the log file revealed some more information concerning the basketcontroller and that it needed to be parameterless, so I pretty sure I borked the setup somehow and missing some files when trying to use functionality in the rosettastone website.

What exact version of Merchello are you using? And on wich Umbraco installations?
I know it seems to be a Merchello issue but have you checked the /App_Data/Logs file to see if it should reveal som relevant information?
